“Come to the edge," he said.
"We can't, we're afraid!" they responded.
"Come to the edge," he said.
"We can't, We will fall!" they responded.
"Come to the edge," he said.
And so they came.
And he pushed them.
And they flew.”
― Guillaume Apollinaire

The beauty of Amherst Island is inspiration to any painter. But for those seeking renewed Muse connections, it’s a place that promises soul revelations of the most wonder-filled kind.
In this week of painting discoveries, we will learn about courage, trust, patience, and persistence….qualities essential to all painting adventurers. We will listen once more to the gifts of intuition and the secrets of the Muse, beckoning each of us to unique creativity. Through a painting treasure trove of fascinating explorations, colour and composition discoveries, lively discussion, rule-breakings, rule-makings, darings, the fine art of play, and the wonderment of Muse connections, you will be awed at the infinity of the creative process. It’s simply what happens to seekers who paint, to painters who seek. On Amherst Island.

Having rediscovered several thought-provoking quotes hidden deep in a decades-old journal, Flying Lessons was the name chosen for this painting's adventure into abstraction.
When we’re together on June 27, I’ll share as much as I can with you about flying….to the moon and back!…and about my passion for painting abstraction. Until then, here are two quotes that I hope will inspire you to fly with me.
Imagining World
In my dream
The angel shrugged and said…
”If we fail this time it will be a failure of imagination.”
And then she placed the world gently in the palm of my hand.” - Brian Andreas
See you in June for our flight to the Moon!
